My name is Guy Tomberlin and I am seeking your support and endorsement as a fall 2009 candidate for the International Code Council Board of Directors.  I have been a code official since 1985 in Virginia's largest jurisdiction, Fairfax County.  I have dedicated my career to the enhancement of code enforcement by improving the codes, providing training, increasing public awareness and raising the profile of the code official.

I am dedicated to the ICC "Blueprint for the Future" (PDF) and I have other initiatives I would like to pursue as a member of the Board of Directors.  For example, I would like to see more participation with green building construction and further integration of the "I" codes nationwide and beyond.

I am intentionally making my candidacy known now to allow me to interact with membership during my travels across the country and to listen to the issues facing you everyday.  My campaign platform will be to serve the membership with progressive leadership, dedication and integrity.
