Guy Tomberlin for International Code Council Board of Directors

As a member of the International Code Council's Board of Directors, I am the voice of the members.  I am completely accessible for any and all matters.  I carry all issues forward to the appropriate level and venue.  I fully support the concept of transparency of board matters both upward and downward.   

I am known to “take on” the tough issues and deal with them “head on.”  I stand for the right choice.  That is what the membership expects in their representation, and we deserve no less.  Even when the right answer is not the popular choice I stand firm.  My past record reflects that practice.

During these times of heightened budget awareness I see the need to exercise extreme caution in financial expenditures, while recognizing opportunities when they arise. I will always be looking for new ways to thrive. 

I have dedicated my career to promoting safe building construction, whether by serving on ICC committees, state organizations or my day-to-day job assignments.  I have the most important endorsement in my pursuit for ICC Board, and that is from my family.  I also have encouragement from my employer and all of the Virginia ICC Chapters.  I am focused and committed to the ICC Blueprint for Success and understand that we must operate in an ever changing environment.
